ReadOut energies for all possible frames in a DNA sequence
Very often biologist are interested in predicting target of a transcription factor or DNA-binding protein. This target DNA sequence is lost somewhere in entire length of genome or its region. ReadOut can predict such targets by taking a DNA sequence and running a finite sized frame over its entire length and calculate (direct and indirect readout) energies at each location. (lower energy means greater probability of being a target). Users can enter a DNA sequence in the text box to compute energies of all possible frames in this DNA. Remember, these energies correspond to the protein and relative to the energies of the DNA found in the protein-DNA complex used for these calculations (This is not a universal property of DNA sequence). This field is optional and Z scores of targets will be calculated even if no sequence is enetered.
